Following pictures of the foreboding Bus Station (the one with the large numbers on the facade), here is an attempt at rendering what millions of travelers go through (on varying scale) throughout China at this time of the Year.Everybody tries to reach their families and celebrate with them and go through hell doing so, travelling great distances after long waits ad snometimes in harsh conditions. I was exposed to this unwittingly, since the New Year's travel Crunch is not as well marked as the holiday itself: it starts within the two weeks prior and goies on (I found out in Vietnam) a good 10 days or so after. Best thing is to avoid travelling in these parts in around this time of the year, unless plans are made well in advance and few movements involved
